Hanover, Pa. – Borough of Hanover Council President Tim Kress and Borough Manager Margie Lewis have announced a town hall meeting to discuss the addition of inspections to the current Borough of Hanover Residential Rental Unit Registration Ordinance. The town hall will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Council Chambers of the Borough of Hanover Public Administration Building located at 33 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, 17331.
The meeting will be a listen-and-learn session to gather public input on the Borough ordinance. Public Safety Staff will present an update on residential rental units in the Borough. Council will deliberate but will not make any rulings on the matter at the meeting.
Borough residents including property owners and renters, as well as other interested individuals or entities are encouraged to speak on the topic. Each person will be asked to provide their name and residency status for the record and will be limited to five minutes to ensure all participants have an opportunity to be heard.
The agenda for the meeting will be posted on the Borough of Hanover website prior to the town hall meeting. Community Media of South Central Pennsylvania will be present to televise the meeting.
