Gettysburg, PA – Job seekers are invited to stop by the Gettysburg Heritage Center on Monday, August 31 from 2 PM – 5 PM for the museum’s fall Job Fair. The event will feature 8 local businesses from across Adams County, all looking to connect with potential employees.
Whether you are searching for a part-time, full-time, or seasonal position, this event offers a great opportunity to meet a variety of employers all in one place. With fall on the horizon, many businesses are looking to hire replacements for school students who have moved back into the classroom or prepare for the holiday rush as the festive season is not too far away. While others find the timing is right and they’re in need now.
Participating businesses include **Rosie’s Collection, Polish Pottery, Gaslight Inn, Gettysburg Heritage Center, Patriot Rails, Bailey’s Coach, The Barn Resort, and Rabbit Transit. Additional businesses may be joining, so be sure to stop by and see who is in attendance!
“We held our first job fair in the spring, which was well attended and successful,” said organizer Stephanie Lightner. “We were asked if we would hold one in the fall, as it too is a big season of change and needing extra help in many businesses.”
Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes and be ready to speak with employers. A designated area will also be available for completing applications during the event.
The event is free and open to the public.
The Gettysburg Heritage Center is operated by the Gettysburg Nature Alliance, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to the education, preservation, and rehabilitation of Gettysburg’s habitat and heritage. While Gettysburg is best known for the pivotal three-day battle fought in July 1863, the area is also defined by its rich natural landscape.
