As Gettysburg prepares for the nationally significant Lincoln at Gettysburg: Shall Not Perish commemoration and LIVE on Lincoln Square concert during the week of November 16th – 20th, 2026, Gettysburg Borough will host two Community Information Sessions to help residents, businesses, property owners, employees, and visitors understand what to expect and how to prepare. With event planning well underway, the Borough’s focus is now shifting toward community impacts, logistics, and preparedness. These sessions will provide practical information about street closures and detours, parking, shuttle service, pedestrian access, business and residential access, emergency services, event security, and other temporary changes that will occur throughout the week. The sessions will also provide an overview of the week’s special programming and an opportunity for members of the community to ask questions directly of Borough staff and event partners.
