Hanover, Pa. – The Borough of Hanover will host a public meeting on behalf of the York County Planning Commission (YCPC), on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 6:30 PM, prior to the regular July meeting of the Borough Council, to share information about the CDBG funded sidewalk and curbing work along E. Hanover Street involving properties between Baltimore and York Streets. The meeting will be led by the YCPC with the approved general contractor, Doug Lamb Construction, Inc., in attendance to offer specific project details. Residents in this area are encouraged to attend and learn if the project will impact their property or how it may temporarily disrupt traffic flow in the area. This meeting is open to the public and is separate from the official meeting of the Borough Council, as it does not involve any decision-making or Council approvals.

It would be great if Code Enforcement would get on people to fix their uneven sidewalks, especially on George St across from the fire house. I am currently recovering from a broken kneecap and wrist as a result of a fall on the uneven sidewalks there. It’s ridiculous.
