Hanover, PA — Downtown Hanover will once again come alive with creativity on Friday, October 2, from 5:00–8:00 PM, as the First Friday Art Walk returns with a vibrant lineup of regional artists and participating businesses.

Organized and hosted by Little Fox Coffee & Books and proudly sponsored by Main Street Hanover, First Friday Art Walks are a monthly celebration of local art and community. On the first Friday of each month, downtown Hanover businesses transform into gallery spaces showcasing rotating artists and exhibits, inviting visitors to explore, connect, and enjoy an evening of art, culture, and small-town charm.

Launched in August 2025, the Art Walk was created to highlight local talent while encouraging residents and visitors to discover new favorite shops and gathering places. The event is free and open to the public, with no tickets required.

This month’s Art Walk will feature a diverse collection of artists and interactive experiences throughout downtown:

October Lineup:

• Church of Satire will be hosting a comedy showcase, featuring comics: Christi Carter, Sonny Etzler, James Finn, Remi Mussio for a night filled with laughs. Tickets are available online for purchase.
• Debbie J’s will be hosting local Hanover artist DJ Velique. Velique has an eye for photography and captures true moments in time. History is yours! Kevin & Friends collection is inspired by true moments of history as the infamous pig, Kevin Bacon, became an unexpected local celebrity due to his ventures around Gettysburg.
• Dolphin & Anchor Brew Pub is hosting Hanover artist Roland Bohrer. With 39 years of foundry, casting, and fabrication experience, Roland can get you parts and castings in most types of metal. His specialty is low volume and loose work production. With a full arsenal of resources built over the years, Roland can satisfy new and old customers’ needs. If he can’t make it himself, he knows someone who can! Their work is all handmade and all parts are made at their shop in Hanover, PA.
• Fat Bat Brewing presents artist Karen C. Davis-Solomon, a storyteller and Doodler who creates in mud, sand, recycled materials, watercolor, inks, gouache…anything! Striving to uplift, she paints and writes trying to shine light by finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. From children’s books to sand doodles and mud posies, her theme is “beauty from ashes.”
• Gallery owner Keith Stambaugh is the feature artist for the month of October at The Event Gallery @ Warehouse Gourmet. Local artist Eric Heinrich shares the gallery as October’s guest artist. Intricate pastels on paper and expressive paintings on canvas are the theme. Meet the artists and enjoy complementary light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.
• Hanover Area Arts Guild will be holding an “Artist Attic” where artwork will be available to purchase via a “name your price” donation
• Little Fox Coffee & Books is hosting local artist Little Fox Coffee & Books is hosting local artist Rebecca Kelly. Rebecca’s art blends decades of drawing experience and experimentation in collage art with her newfound passion for painting. Alongside her mixed media collage and painted works, she creates one-of-a-kind collage handbags that are truly unique – blending her quirky style with functionality. Rebecca’s collection features a vibrant tapestry of abstract and realistic styles that invite viewers into a dialog between chaos, harmony and organization. Little Fox Coffee & Books will also be hosting Alecia Achimovich of “The Clay Dryad.” Alecia creates cozy, folksy pottery with whimsical elements often in the form of woodland creatures. They make functional pottery with a range of decorative techniques, from folk-inspired hand-drawn illustrations to playful forms finished with vibrant glazes. Alecia is a local potter from Mechanicsburg, Pa. She began making pottery in a wheel throwing class in 2019 and has since learned to incorporate hand building and sculptural techniques into her work.
• The Serpent’s Key will be is featuring Emily Lam, a lifelong maker, history lover, and firm believer that beautiful old things deserve another chapter. She creates hand-sewn pieces using vintage and repurposed textiles, combining traditional sewing with a little creativity and a lot of personality. When she is not behind a sewing machine, you can usually find her quilting, hunting for vintage treasures, or wandering somewhere historic
