St Joseph Celebrates 33rd Annual Carnival in June

YORK, PA — Come one, come all to the 33^RD Annual St. Joseph Carnival, set to kick off on Tuesday, June 16^TH through Saturday, June 20^TH, at 2935 Kingston Road, York! Every night starting at 5 PM.  Carnival-goers can enjoy food from local vendors and trucks, and family fun with rides and games.

They have many exciting features this year. The parish-sponsored kids’ games will now be cashless. Players can buy tickets at the ticket booth inside the school or on the midway, and kids can use those in place of cash, making it easier for families. There are also new kids’ games and bigger and better prizes.  There will be a petting zoo on Wednesday by Critter Connections.

They will still have their casino-style wheels and hourly 50-50 raffle, so adults, bring your cash! This year, Carnival Bingo is on Thursday through Saturday nights in the air-conditioned school gym! Each game is $0.25 per card or $0.50 for three.

Make sure to come with an appetite! Parish-sponsored food vendors will include hamburgers, hot dogs, and walking tacos; pierogies; pizza; Vietnamese food; and ice cream, and home-baked desserts. The Carnival will also have food trucks: Baltimore Style Pit Beef, Bricker’s Fries, Sam & Jo’s Gyros, Crazy Heifer, Trailer Trash Nachos, and Auntie Anne’s. The St. Joseph Jamaican Mission Team will again be hosting the beer & wine garden, located within our bell tower area—now accepting credit cards.

Sunshine Shows will also be providing food, rides, and games for families to enjoy.

Nightly entertainment will include Ni Riain School of Irish Dance, acoustic band Bring Us Mountains, beer garden trivia, and more! We will have family-friendly eating contests, pie throwing contests, and a water balloon competition.

The star of Carnival Week is our $15,000 grand prize raffle. Single tickets cost $5, and a whole book is $50. In addition to the grand prize, which will be announced at 10 PM on June 20^th, we have $1,500 first prize, $1,000 second prizes, and four $250 prizes. Raffle tickets can be purchased in the parish office or during the carnival.
