Hanover, PA – YWCA Hanover’s new Children’s Learning Academy celebrated its ribbon cutting ceremony on October 2nd. The event brought together the Hanover community to celebrate the opening of the academy. The Children’s Learning Academy has played a role since 1920, serving women, children, and families in the Hanover community.
Enrollment for the academy is now open. Visit YWCA Hanover’s website to see their programs and schedule a tour. The new academy can provide all day education and care for over 200 children with 12 classrooms, a sensory learning area, a STEM lab, an activity room, an outdoor garden education center, and more.
We are so excited to welcome everyone to our new Children’s Learning Academy,” says YWCA Hanover’s Interim CEO, Sherri Staub. “We can serve more families and children than ever, and we thank everyone who played a role in building our new academy.”
The new Children’s Learning Academy will continue to be a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where young children can learn, grow, and develop important skills.
The project began in April 2025, with YWCA Hanover breaking ground in May 2025. Over a year later, the academy is now complete and ready for admissions.
