Listening Session on Medical Cannabis May 1st, 2014
Thursday, May 1st, 2014 at Southeastern Volunteer Emergency Services Building Senator Richard Alloway, Senator Mike Folmer, Representative Dan Moul, and Representative Will Tallman attended a Listening Session on Medical Cannabis. Peggy Beem Jelley, President and CEO, of the Epilepsy Foundation of Western/Central Pennsylvania and Wayne Reich, Deputy CEO, of the Pennsylvania Nurses Association gave Medical Perspectives and Community Support Services Perspectives on the subject. Bob and Debbie Foster, Jody Walker, and Matt and Angie Sharrer, families that have had a positive outcome using medical cannabis for family members with various medical issues, where also in attendance to give their testimonies. Pastor Shawn Berkebile of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Abbottstown PA provided a pastoral persepctive of medical cannabis.
