Borough Tax Collector Holly Liska, 207 Third Street, Hanover, PA and exonerating the
Tax Collector from further efforts to collect the aforesaid taxes:
a. The Real Estate Taxes listed on the “Return of Uncollected Real Estate Interim Taxes
for the year 2022” totaling $406.37 face value;
b. The Real Estate Taxes listed on the “Return of Uncollected Real Estate Full Taxes
for the year 2023” totaling $113,461.22 face value;
c. The Real Estate Taxes listed on the “Return of Uncollected Real Estate Interim Taxes
for the year 2023” totaling $212.86 face value;
d. Charge 2024 Real Estate Tax Collector Holly Liska, 207 Third Street, Hanover, PA
with the collection of 2024 Real Estate Tax in the amount of $6,434,238.19 and
authorizing the issuance of Tax Warrants for same with the payment of ninety-five
hundredths (0.95%) percent commission on the collection of each tax bill collected.

Mayor will then put one ballot for each nominee in a box.

The Mayor will then pull one ballot from the box and call for a vote on the
nominee selected from the box. If the first vote attains a majority, then the
matter is concluded. *Please note that no second is required for nominations.
If the first vote does not attain a majority, the Mayor will then select the next
ballot from the box and a new round of voting will commence. The Mayor
will continue until a President is elected by a majority.
Once the President is elected, the Mayor turns the floor over to the
President who will conduct the nomination and vote for Vice President in
the same fashion.
b. The President announces that the floor is now open to nominations for VicePresident using a new written ballot form.
8. Newly elected President of Council calls for approval for the following officers for
2024/2025: Borough Manager, Borough Secretary, Borough Treasurer, Assistant
Borough Secretary, Assistant Borough Treasurer, and Solicitor. It would be in order

RESOLUTION NO. 010224

WHEREAS, section 1001 of the Borough Code requires that a borough council shall organize on the first Monday of January of each even-numbered year; and

WHEREAS, the Borough Council of the Borough of Gettysburg has set Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 5:00 P.M., the first business day following the first Monday of January 2024, for the purpose of conducting its organization meeting; and

WHEREAS, in addition to electing one member of the Council as president and one member as vice-president as required pursuant to subsection 1001(a) of the Borough Code, the Borough Council of the Borough of Gettysburg wishes to make, confirm and ratify the following appointments and to take the following actions at its organization meeting.

WHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Borough Council of the Borough of Gettysburg hereby confirms and ratifies the appointment of Charles R. Gable, MPA as the Borough Manager and as the Borough Treasurer and sets the amount of Mr. Gable’s bond at $200,000.00 with the Borough of Gettysburg to pay the premium for the issuance of said bond.

WHEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Borough Council of the Borough of Gettysburg hereby confirms and ratifies the appointment of Sara L. Stull as the Borough Secretary and as the Borough Assistant Treasurer and sets the amount of Ms. Stull’s bond at $200,000.00 with the Borough of Gettysburg to pay the premium for the issuance of said bond.
