More than just the builder of Gettysburg’s oldest home, Alexander Dobbin was a minister, educator, and community leader whose influence helped shape the early town. Presented by longtime Dobbin House steward Jackie White, this talk draws on decades of research to reveal the life, ambitions, and legacy of a man who left an indelible mark on Gettysburg—and the home that still bears his name.
The program will take place Thursday, August 27th at 89 Steinwehr Avenue, Gettysburg. Dinner will be at 6 p.m. followed by the program at 7 p.m.
