Adams County Community Foundation Giving Spree 2022
November 3 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Join us this year on November 3, 2022
The Adams County Community Foundation’s Giving Spree is Adams County’s annual day of giving where everyone in the community comes together to learn about local nonprofits and is encouraged to support them.
How can you participate?
Look for the 2022 Donor Guide and Donation Form on ACCFGivingSpree.org beginning September 23, then:
Drop it off
Bring your completed Donation Form and gift to the Gettysburg Times on November 3 between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. for curbside giving. You’ll get a personal thank-you and a friendly wave from our wonderful volunteers and nonprofit representatives.
Mail it in
Complete the Donation Form and mail it with your gift to: Adams County Community Foundation, 25 South 4th St. Gettysburg, PA 17325. Please mail your donation early to ensure we have your gift in time for the Giving Spree on November 3rd.
Review the Nonprofit Participant List, then visit ACCFGivingSpree.org on November 3 any time between 12:01 a.m. and 12:00 midnight to complete your donation online. It’s quick, convenient and secure.
Give for today or give forever
Choose how your gift will be used: A donation for today will go to the organization you designate for their immediate use. A donation that will give forever will be used as endowment, invested by the Adams County Community Foundation and provide an annual gift to the organization you designate for years and decades to come.
Why hold a Giving Spree?
For a dozen years, the Giving Spree has been Adams County’s day of giving where everyone in the community comes together to learn about local nonprofits and support them.
Where is the Giving Spree?
The Giving Spree is everywhere! You can participate by mail, online, or enjoy making a person-to-person curbside donation from your car at the Gettysburg Times, 1570 Fairfield Rd., Gettysburg, PA 17325.
Which Adams County nonprofits can you support though the Giving Spree?
Check out our 2022 Nonprofit Participant list here, then be sure to look for the 2022 Donor Guide and Donation Form on ACCFGivingSpree.org beginning September 23.
What is the difference between a today gift and a forever gift?
On the Donation Form, you’ll see that for each nonprofit you choose to make a gift to, you can check either the Today column or the Forever column. If you check Today, your gift will go to the nonprofit right away, to help with immediate needs. If you check Forever, your gift will be added to a permanent endowment fund held at the Community Foundation. Each year a grant will be made from that fund to the nonprofit, sustaining it for years and decades to come.
Can I give to a Community Foundation fund not listed here?
To make a gift to any Community Foundation fund, use code “04” and fill in the name of the fund on your donation form. You can see a complete list of Community Foundation funds at AdamsCountyCF.org, under “For Donors”.
What can I give?
You can give by check or credit card using the Donation Form. You can also transfer stock, make a Qualified Charitable Distribution from your IRA, or recommend a grant from your donor-advised fund at the Community Foundation or another institution.
Are donations tax deductible?
Yes, donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. The charitable status of each nonprofit has been verified by the Adams County Community Foundation. The Community Foundation will send you an acknowledgement, which will serve as your tax receipt, for the total amount of your gift. The Community Foundation will send your gift to the nonprofit(s) you selected, which may send you an informal thank-you.
What is the Incentive Match and can I donate to it?
The Incentive Match helps all participating nonprofits. At the close of the Giving Spree, the Incentive Match is distributed to the participating nonprofits in proportion to the amount they raised during the Giving Spree. You can donate to it by including a gift to the “Incentive Match” (#99 on the list) on the Donation Form.
Thanks to our sponsors, nonprofits pay nothing to participate. 100% of donor gifts support the nonprofits they choose. As an added bonus, an “Incentive Match” is distributed to the participating nonprofits in proportion to the amount they raised during the Giving Spree – increasing each donor gift!
